M.C., RCC
Individual, Child & Family Counsellor
Counselling Associate

Children and youth carry their own unique strengths, resilience, and internal wisdom. I believe young people are highly capable individuals who already hold the skills and resources needed to support their own growth, healing, and change when given the right environment and support.
Beginning the counselling journey can feel intimidating and uncertain. I believe the most important foundation in therapy is the therapeutic relationship. My priority is to create a safe, trusting, and emotionally supportive space where children, youth, and families feel comfortable exploring their experiences, identities, and challenges at their own pace. I view therapy as a collaborative process—one that is co-created with clients and grounded in respect, curiosity, and connection.
I have over 10 years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a variety of clinical and community settings. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care (CYC) and a Master’s degree in Counselling (MC), which led to my designation as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
I take an integrative and developmentally sensitive approach to counselling, primarily drawing from client-centered therapy, attachment-based theory, trauma-informed practice, and strengths-based approaches. I work from a place of curiosity and cultural sensitivity, while also supporting advocacy and empowerment—helping clients build confidence in expressing their needs and using their voice effectively.
My clinical work incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Play and Art Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. I tailor interventions to meet the developmental stage and individual needs of each child, adolescent, or family system.
My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationship challenges, grief and loss, attachment difficulties, emotional regulation, and parent coaching. I am especially passionate about supporting families in strengthening connection and helping children and youth feel more secure, understood, and supported in their world.
