Individual, Child & Family Counsellor
Counselling Associate

I have had the privilege of supporting children, youth, and families for over 15 years. I began my professional journey as an elementary school teacher, where I quickly realized something essential was missing in education: connection.
Many of us can recall a teacher, coach, or trusted adult who made a lasting impact—someone who truly saw us, believed in us, and took the time to connect. In my classroom, I lived by the belief: “Reach the youth before you teach the youth.”I soon came to understand that when genuine connection is formed, trust follows. And when trust is present, children and youth often share experiences and emotions they may not disclose anywhere else.
It was in these moments—when a child would entrust me with something deeply personal—that I began to recognize the emotional weight and importance of this work. Over time, I realized that while teaching was meaningful, my true calling was in therapeutic counselling, where I could hold space more deeply for emotional healing and support.
Since completing my Master’s degree, I have worked with youth and families navigating a wide range of social, emotional, behavioural, and relational challenges. My approach is client-centered, relational, and strengths-based, focusing on creating a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported at their own pace.
I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including play therapy, logotherapy, family systems theory, attachment-based therapy, and other evidence-informed modalities, tailoring my work to meet the unique needs of each child, youth, and family.
In addition to my work with children and families, I am also passionate about supporting men and fathers, creating space for fatherhood, identity, emotional expression, and the challenges that often come with parenting, relationships, and life transitions. This includes helping fathers strengthen connection with their children and feel more confident and grounded in their parenting role.
My goal in therapy is to meet each person with authenticity and presence, and to support meaningful connection, emotional understanding, and lasting change.
