Nirvir Khosa
MC, RCC
Child & Family Counsellor
Counselling Associate

Whether I’m working directly with your child or supporting you as a caregiver, my goal is to create a warm, encouraging space where families feel supported, understood, and empowered. It is a privilege to walk alongside children, youth, and parents through their healing and growth journey.
Nirvir Khosa is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. She brings warmth, inclusivity, and curiosity to her work, while creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. She recognizes that every child, youth, and family has unique experiences and perspectives, and she strives to provide a culturally responsive and neurodiversity-affirming counselling space.
As a first-generation South Asian woman from an immigrant family, Nirvir brings a deep understanding of the complexities that can arise when navigating cultural identity, intergenerational expectations, and mental health. Her lived experience informs her compassionate approach and her commitment to supporting families from diverse backgrounds.
Nirvir has extensive experience working with children, youth, and families in school and community mental health settings. This includes roles at Foundry, where she co-facilitated caregiver groups and CBT-based programs, and as a Youth Worker at Sources Family Connection Centre, where she supported individuals living with chronic mental health challenges. In the Chilliwack School District, she worked as an Educational Assistant supporting neurodiverse children and students with special needs in both academic and social development. These experiences have shaped her strong foundation in child therapy, youth counselling, and family support work.
She is especially passionate about supporting neurodiverse children (including ADHD and autism presentations), emotional regulation challenges, anxiety, depression, school-related stress, and parent-child relationship difficulties. She also works closely with caregivers through parent coaching and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) informed support, helping parents better understand and respond to their child’s emotional needs.
Nirvir understands how difficult it can be to seek support—especially when mental health and emotional expression may not always be openly discussed within one’s family or cultural community. She is committed to creating a non-judgmental, collaborative space where children, teens, and parents feel seen, heard, and respected.
With training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Nirvir supports clients through concerns such as anxiety, stress, depression, emotional dysregulation, self-compassion, family conflict, neurodivergence, and life transitions.
Whether you are seeking child therapy, adolescent counselling, parent support, or help navigating neurodiversity and emotional challenges, Nirvir is here to support your family with care, collaboration, and clinical expertise.
