Georgia Spiliotopoulos
I am deeply committed to supporting children, adolescents, and families as they navigate emotional, relational, and developmental challenges. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and understanding therapeutic space where clients of all ages feel supported and never alone in what they are facing. Whether I am working directly with a child or walking alongside a parent, my goal is to offer steady, compassionate care that supports healing and connection.
It is a privilege to be trusted with this work, and I approach each family with care, respect, and genuine presence. As a parent of two daughters myself, I also bring lived experience of the joys, worries, and complexities of raising children, which deepens my understanding of the parenting journey.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, inclusivity, and authenticity. My intention is to create a nurturing, emotionally safe, and non-judgmental space where each child, youth, and parent feels seen, heard, and valued.
My clinical work is grounded in Emotion-Focused Therapy, attachment-based therapy, trauma-informed care, family systems theory, early childhood development, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)-informed interventions, along with play-based approaches for children.
I also have advanced training in Synergetic Play Therapy, Emotion-Focused Parent Coaching, Gordon Neufeld’s developmental approach, ADHD and autism-informed practice, somatic trauma therapy, and childhood trauma treatment, including experiences of abuse and sexual trauma. I strongly believe that children, youth, and families already hold innate strengths for growth and healing when supported with the right tools, relationships, and environment.
I am especially passionate about supporting neurodiverse children and youth (including ADHD and autism), trauma-impacted children, and families facing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, and school or relational difficulties. I also enjoy working closely with parents through an attachment-based and emotion-focused lens, helping them develop practical, compassionate strategies that strengthen connection, reduce stress, and support resilience within the family system.
